For example, user equipments (220) such as mobile telephone devices may be used in a building with multiple floors. The building may be supplied with antenna elements organized into antennas with each antenna (105) serving an area of the building - a floor for example. The base station (100), utilizing the antennas (105), communicates with the UE terminals (220) via one or more radio resources. The base station (100) manages the radio resources to communicate with multiple UE terminals (220). The base station (100 selectively activates and deactivates the antennas (105) to reduce multiple access interference and to efficiently utilize the radio resources.
