摘要： A method and arrangement is provided for adjusting the transmission power of radio signals sent over a radio link from a second node to be received by a first node reducing the transmission power consumption and/or optimizing the radio system capacity. The first node maintains a quality target of the link by generating a SIR target value by means of running an outer loop power control, which SIR target value is used for generating a power adjustment command to be sent to the second node for adjusting the transmission power such that a power level adequate for providing the quality target of the link is achieved. The method comprises the step of detecting an abrupt change in the conditions of the radio signals received from the second node, generating a temporary SIR target value, and replacing the SIR target value generated by the outer loop power control with the temporary SIR target value when generating the power adjustment command to be sent to the second node for adjusting the transmission power.

摘要： Scheduling of high bit rate users causes rapid and large changes in the interference situation due to the bursty nature of traffic. Fast power control is not able to adapt to these fast changes in the interference situation. It is the basic idea of the present invention to remove the existing dedicated physical control channels both in the uplink (UL) and downlink (DL), i.e. the UL DPCCH and F-DPCH as defined in release 6 of the 3GPP-specif ications, for scenarios where all data and higher layer signaling is sent on EUL and HSDPA. Instead, the network signals to the UE a value of the total expected received interference (lexpected) at the radio base station based on which the UE can estimate the necessary uplink power.

摘要： A Wireless Device (WD), a network node and corresponding methods are disclosed. The WD comprises processing circuitry and a memory, the WD being adapted to obtain a Cell Global Identity (CGI) of a target cell within a first time period if the target cell transmits System Information (SI) where the fields other than frame numbers do not change in different transmission periods over a certain period of time, and otherwise, to obtain the CGI of the target cell within a second time period longer than the first time period. The WD is adapted to use information as to whether or not the target cell is going to transmit Quasi-Stationary SI (QSI) to select a first or a second SI acquisition procedure to obtain the CGI of the target cell within the first time period if QSI is transmitted, or within a second time period is non QSI is transmitted. The network node determines whether or not the target cell is going to transmit QSI and informs a base station or the WD about whether or not the target cell is going to transmit QSI enabling the WD to optimize its SI acquisition procedure accordingly.
