    • A method of controlling a data transmission over a terminal of a data unit communication network using a transport service offered by said data unit communication network is described. The data transmission comes from a data source (application) associated with said terminal. The data source receives from the data unit communication network one or more indicators comprising first information for determining a value of a first parameter indicating a minimum transmission capacity (e.g. guaranteed bit rate) of said transport service, and second information for determining a value of a second parameter indicating a current transmission capacity (e.g. available bit rate) of said transport service. Then a transmission rate of the data source is adjusted in dependence on at least the second information.

    • A method for specifying the quality of service in a transmission of data packets between a service entity (AF1) and a user equipment over a mobile network is described. The mobile network comprises a core network node (SGSN1) and an access node (NB1, RNC1) which are adapted to control the handling of data packets sent between the service entity (AF1) and the user equipment (UE1). A plurality of service classes relating to the quality of service are preconfigured and a selected service class is selected from said plurality for the transmission. A first transmission context (PDP1) is established between the core network node and the user equipment (UE1), said first transmission context being associated with a first set of attributes for defining a first quality of service for the exchange of the data packets with the user equipment in the transmission. Furthermore, a second transmission context (RAB1, RB1) is established between the access node (NB1, RNC1) and the user equipment (UE1), said second transmission context being associated with a second set of attributes for defining a second quality of service for the exchange of the data packets with the user equipment in the transmission. The selected service class determines the first set of attributes by a first unique mapping function performed in the core network node and the selected service class determines the second set of attributes by a second unique mapping function performed in the access node. A corresponding mobile network, control device and computer program are also described.

    • The present invention relates to a first node and a second node in a mobile telecommunication network. The network comprises a first node, a second node and a third node, wherein the first node is connectable to the second node and the second node is connectable to the first node and to the third node and the third node is connectable to the second node. A system function is realized by the execution of a master-process implemented in the first node and a slave-process implemented in the third node, and wherein the execution of the master-process realizes a control function associated with the system function. The master-process of the first node is adapted to temporarily delegate the responsibility to realize the control function to a master-proxy-process implemented in the second node and the master-proxy-process implemented in the second node is adapted to take over the responsibility to realize the control function from the master-process of the first node.
