摘要： Fail-over protection is provided for a server cluster including a plurality of primary nodes supporting user sessions and a standby node. When the standby node determines that a primary node in a cluster has failed, the standby node configures its network interface to use an Internet Protocol (IP) address of the failed primary node. The standby node further retrieves session data for user sessions supported by the failed primary node from a low latency database for the cluster and restores the user sessions at the standby node. When the user sessions are restored, the standby node switches from a standby mode to an active mode.

摘要： A persistent version-controlled is provided the enables automated configuration of VNFs/CNFs following deployment or re-deployment of VNF/CNF instances throughout the life cycle of the VNFs/CNFs. Immutable copies of NF configurations for a VNF/CNF are stored in the version controlled data storage 100. Multiple versions of a NF configuration can be associated with a common configuration reference (e.g., URL). Metadata associated with the different versions of a NF configuration indicates which of two or more different versions is the current version. The collection of different versions of a NF configuration associated with the same stable reference provide a complete history of the NF configuration, thus allowing rollback to any previous version of the NF configuration by simply modifying the metadata to mark that version as the current version. If a VNF/CNF needs to be re-deployed, the same configuration reference used during the initial deployment is used to download the most recent version of the NF configuration based on the metadata.

The fast session restoration techniques take advantage of the layered architecture of a network node and stores layer-specific descriptors that describe the states of corresponding service layers of a network node for an active session. When a failure of the network nodes occurs, the descriptors are used to achieve a seamless and fast session restoration.

The telecommunication network comprises one or more logical nodes providing bearer connectivity within the telecommunication network, the one or more logical nodes are implemented on a common physical node (NNI; PN2), and the invented method comprises the steps of: determining an identification of the connection, sending a first message requesting a creation or a reservation of a first resource (C1; T1), e.g. a bearer termination or a context and a second message requesting a creation or a reservation of a second resource (C2; T2) to the one or more logical nodes, the first and the second message comprising the identification of the connection, creating or reserving the first (C1; T1) and the second resource (C1; T2), comparing the identification received in the first message with the identification received in the second message, and according to the result of the comparison connecting the first and the second resource using a connection (C1) internal to the common physical node.
