    • A first transceiver and a method performed by the first transceiver for monitoring a fibre cable are provided. The first transceiver is connectable to a second transceiver by the fibre cable. The transceivers employ SCM analogue modulation where baseband is dedicated for monitoring and the subcarriers are dedicated for data transmission. The method comprises receiving (110), from a device, at least one electromagnetic data signal to be transmitted towards the second transceiver on the fibre cable; and shifting (120) the at least one data signal in the frequency domain. The method further comprises generating (130) an electromagnetic test signal in a base band; combining (140) the at least one data signal and the generated test signal; and modulating (150) the combined data signal and test signal to respective optical carrier. The method further comprises transmitting (160) the modulated data signal and generated test signal on the fibre cable towards the second transceiver.

    • Methods for routing control are disclosed. The methods may be performed, respectively, in network nodes and a controller node of a communication network, wherein the network nodes are operationally connectable to the controller node. A network node maintains a wireless communication link to another network node, wherein the link is subjectable to temporary performance degradations of a first type and a second type, temporary performance degradations of the first type having a first typical time duration which is shorter than a second typical time duration of temporary performance degradations of the second type. The method for the network node comprises detecting the link being subjected to a temporary performance degradation of the second type and transmitting (responsive to the detection) a report indicative of the temporary performance degradation to the controller node. The method for the controller node comprises receiving a plurality of reports from respective network nodes, wherein the reports are indicative of respective links being subjected to a temporary performance degradation of the second type, using the reports for a decision regarding temporary performance degradation of the second type, and using the decision regarding temporary performance degradation of the second type for routing control. Corresponding arrangements, network node, controller node, and computer program product are also disclosed.
