摘要： There is provided a cable connector (10) comprising body (12) joined to a connector element (16) for securing to a female connector, wherein a locking element (18) held by body (12) is movable relative to connector element (16), thereby to lock the connector element (16) in position. This allows a push-on connector to be locked firmly to a female connector, typically associated with an electrical device, so as to obtain the screening (electromagnetic leakage) specification of a push-on connector but the locking specification of a screw connector. The body (12) comprises a shaft portion (14) along which a push-on connector ring (16) slides. A locking ring (18) is pushed in one direction along the shaft (14) to engage with the push-on connector ring (16) and lock it to a female connector, and is pushed along the shaft (14) in the other direction to disengage from the push-on connector ring and release the female connector. 15 The locking ring (18) and push-on connector ring (16) are preferably provided with an interengaging ridge (36) and channel (28) capable of locking the locking ring (18) and push-on connector ring (16) in a fixed position with respect to each other.
