摘要： The present invention is directed to an electrical contact, connector and assembly. The contact (10) includes a contact portion (12) for mating with a mating contact. A stabilizing portion (18) extends from an end of the contact which is opposite the contact portion. The stabilizing portion (18) cooperates with at least one stabilization member (56) of a housing (40) of an electrical connector to minimize the rotation of the contact (10) relative to the electrical connector. The connector includes a housing (40) having stabilization members (56) provided in contact receiving cavities (42). The assembly includes a terminal position assurance device (60) which engages the stabilizing portions (18) and cooperates with the stabilizing portions (18) to increase the pull out force required to displace the contacts.

摘要： A terminal position assurance device (30) for use with an electrical connector comprises a terminal engaging section (41) having a first end (48) and an oppositely facing second end (50). An engagement section (56) extends from the first end. The engagement section has a bearing surface (64) having a width which is greater than a width of the terminal engaging section (41). The bearing surface is configured to allow an assembler to push the terminal position assurance device during assembly of the electrical connector in an ergonomically friendly manner.
