    • A machine tool (10) comprises a support (20) mounted for rotation about a machining axis (22), a first motor (28) operable to rotate the support about the machining axis, a tool holder (30) mounted on the support for rotation about a tool positioning axis (32) which is parallel to and off-set from the machining axis, a second motor (50) operable to rotate the tool holder about the tool positioning axis, and control means (60). For a constant diameter machining circle, the support (20) and the tool holder (30) are rotated about their respective axes at equal angular velocities so that they rotate as a unit. To adjust the diameter of the machining circle, one of the motors (28, 50) operates for a period at a different angular velocity to the other motor, thereby altering the position of the tool holder (30) relative to the support (20) about the tool positioning axis (32).

    • A composite panel (10) is formed by bonding together at least two overlying sheets of metal (12, 14). The method comprises performing a first corrugating operation on each of said sheets (12, 14), and positioning said sheets in overlying relationship with the corrugations of each sheet extending in a common first direction and the corrugations of each sheet nested into those of the other sheet. The method also comprises performing a second corrugating operation arranged to produce corrugations which extend in a second direction which is inclined at an angle of at least 10 DEG , preferably 90 DEG , to said first direction. Each sheet (12, 14) is formed into parallel upstanding ridges (20) separated by troughs (22). The troughs (22) in each sheet are received within the ridges (20) of the other sheet. The troughs (22) have reentrant side walls (24) and the ridges (20) vary in width along their length.

    • A panel (10) is formed from a sheet (12) of metal. The method comprises corrugating the sheet (12) with corrugations which extend parallel to one another in a first direction, and corrugating the already corrugated sheet (12) with corrugations which extend parallel to one another in a second direction, said second direction being inclined at an angle of at least 10 DEG to said first direction. The panel (10) is formed into a plurality of generally parallel upstanding ridges (20) separated by troughs (22). The troughs (22) have reentrant side walls (24). Each ridge (20) varies in width along its length in a regular manner and varies in height along the length of the ridge with the greatest height occuring at the narrowest points of the ridge.
