    • A closure assembly (10) includes a filler neck (12), a housing (18), and an appearance cover (16). Housing (18) includes a nozzle-receiving passageway (84) and an interior region (64). A closure door (24) is coupled to housing (18) and prevents fuel vapor from flowing through passageway (84). A pressure-relief valve assembly (22) is positioned within interior region (64) and controls the flow of fuel vapor through interior region (64) when closure door (24) is closed. A valve actuator (80) is coupled to housing (18) and includes a nozzle arm (83), a stem arm (85), and a conductor arm (86). Stem arm (85) moves with nozzle arm (83) and opens pressure-relief valve assembly (22) when nozzle arm (83) is engaged by a fuel-dispensing nozzle upon movement of a nozzle into passageway (84). Conductor arm (86) is coupled to nozzle arm (83) and is positioned to contact filler neck (12) through an opening (87) in housing (18). When a nozzle contacts nozzle arm (83), electrical charge present on fuel-dispensing nozzle is conducted through nozzle arm (83) and conductor arm (86) to filler neck (12).

    • A fuel cap leakage tester (210) is provided comprising a fuel cap support (20), a pressure source (261), and a monitor (32). The fuel cap support (20) is formed to include a test chamber (28) and is adapted to receive a fuel cap (30) to be tested in the test chamber (28) to establish a pressurizable region, (57) therein and a sealed connection between the fuel cap (30) to be tested and the fuel cap support (20). The monitor (32) is positioned to communicate with the pressurizable region (57) formed in the fuel cap support (20) and is configured to measure air pressure in the pressurizable region (57). The fuel cap leakage tester (210) further comprises a system (222, 224, 226) for communicating a flow of pressurized air from the pressure source (261) to the pressurizable region (57) with a predetermined pressure drop of the pressurized air therebetween. The monitor (32) measures the pressure level of the pressurized air in the pressurizable region (57) to determine whether the fuel cap (30) to be tested meets or exceeds a predetermined leakage flow rate.

    • A fuel system leakage detector (1) includes a pressure source (3)and a test head (4) adapted to be coupled to a fuel system (17) of a vehicle (19) with engine (21), fuel tank (18), fuel filler neck (20), fuel closure cap (16) and evaporative emissions cannister (24), such fuel systems leakage detector also having a pneumatic circuit (5) coupled to a pressure source (3) and the test head (4), a pneumatic circuit bypass (2) coupled to the pressure source (3) and the test head (4), and a signaling device (7). The pneumatic circuit (5) includes a measurement device (6) coupled to the signaling device through which pressurized gas flows during leakage testing. Before testing, pressurized gas is diverted through the pneumatic circuit bypass (2) and bypasses the pneumatic circuit including the measurement device (6) to charge the test head (4) and the fuel system (17) for testing. The measurement device (6) then detects gas pressure differences between the test head (4) and the atmosphere whereby the signaling device (7) indicates the results of the leakage test.
