摘要： A book covering (10) which is adapted for covering a book (12) having respective front and back covers (14, 16), a spine (18) and a plurality of pages (20). The book covering (10) including: a cover member (22a, 22b) of a flexible material having respective interior and exterior surfaces (22, 32) and top and bottom edges (28, 30); a flap (36) associated with one lateral edge (24, 26) of the cover member (22a, 22b) for receiving at least an outer portion of one of the front or back covers (14, 16) of the book (12); and, at least one band (40) disposed on the interior surface (22) of the cover member (22a, 22b), secured to the cover member (22a, 22b) substantially at the top and bottom edges (28, 30) and positioned at a predetermined location between the flap (36) and an opposite lateral edge (24, 26) of the cover member (22a, 22b). The at least one band (40) being adapted to receive the other of the front or back covers (14, 16) of the book (12) and a portion of the cover member (22a, 22b) when the opposite lateral edge (24, 26) is folded over and into an interior surface of the other of the front or back covers (14, 16) of the book (12) and inserted through the at least one band (40).
