摘要： Apparatus and methods effective for detecting, locating, and characterizing traffic-related incidents are based upon improved image processing techniques applied to infrared (80) and visible light spectrum (50) roadway images in a time sequence. Detectable traffic-related incidents include, for example, the appearance of stationary object on a roadway, the appearance of a pedestrian on a roadway, and the identification and location of vehicles obstructing traffic flow by moving too slowly or erratically or in the wrong direction. Programmable digital computer image processing (34) allows automatic classification of the severity of detected incidents based on the potential for further traffic hazards and injuries, and can support automatic signals to alter traffic flow patterns for reducing the likelihood of incidents, as well as automatic alerts to law enforcement, maintenance and emergency medical personnel.

摘要： A three dimensional (3-D) image is generated from a plurality of portions of an image of an object, each captured portion of the image is based on a scan width of an image capture device. A range finding device obtains at least one range data value for each captured portion of the image as at least one corresponding position in each captured portions of the image, and a base to which the image capture device and the range finding device are mounted moves in increments based on the scan width of the image capture device.

摘要： An automated robotic paint stripping system which effectively removes paint from an aircraft and which can be installed in a hangar or stripping booth with a minimum of space. The robot system has a total of nine degrees of freedom consisting of two automatic positioner axes (1, 2), a six-axis articulated arm (14), and a one-axis tool roll (36). A track mounted wall traveler automatically positions the pivoting column (28) and articulated arm (14) as required during the stripping operations. The column pivot is used to position the articulated arm adjacent to the aircraft and retract the arm to a folded position to allow the entire robot passage by the aircraft wing tip.
