    • A hot-melt adhesive dispenser (14) having spray nozzles (18) connected to a nozzle manifold (24) receiving hot-melt adhesive material from a heated dispenser head (26). The spray nozzles have a pair of flow paths (36 and 84), one (36) within the other (84), terminating near the nozzle outlet (86). A stream of low pressure air flows from a valve, through a plurality of tubes (38) to at least one hollow gas injection conduit (36) in the nozzle forming an inner flow path. Hot-melt material flows through a dispensing bar (54) to a nozzle body cavity (58) and opening (84) defining the outer flow path. Hot-melt material is projected from the nozzle, broken up into droplets by the expanding gas, producing a spray within about three inches of the nozzle outlet. A pair of spaced apart dispensers (14a, 14b) with spray nozzles are used to spray seal the upper and lower flaps (20, 22) of cartons.
