    • A collector system (49) for supplying electrical energy to a grid (50). The collector system (49) comprises a plurality of voltage sources (46/48/66/68) each producing a fundamental frequency current and a plurality of harmonic frequency currents related to the fundamental frequency, wherein one or more of the plurality of fundamental frequency currents have a time displacement relative to a current on the collector system (49), each one of the plurality of voltage sources (46/48/66/68) connected to the collector system (49) through a transformer (51/52/70), certain ones of the transformers (51/52/70) imparting a phase angle shift to compensate for the time displacement of the fundamental frequency current produced by each voltage source (46/48/66/68), and wherein the time displacement and the phase angle shifts are selected to reduce harmonic currents on the collector system (49).
