摘要： A method for detecting and recognizing at least one traffic sign is disclosed. A video sequence having a plurality of image frames is received. One or more filters are used to measure features in at least one image frame indicative of an object of interest. The measured features are combined and aggregated into a score indicating possible presence of an object. The scores are fused over multiple image frames for a robust detection. If a score indicates possible presence of an object in an area of the image frame, the area is aligned with a model. A determination is then made as to whether the area indicates a traffic sign. If the area indicates a traffic sign, the area is classified into a particular type of traffic sign. The present invention is also directed to training a system to detect and recognize traffic signs.

摘要： Methods for maximum scene surface temperature estimation for blades with reflective surface properties in advanced stationary gas turbines are disclosed. The approach utilizes high speed infrared imagery provided by an online monitor system using a focal plan array (FPA) for near-infrared monitoring during engine runtime up to base load. The one waveband method for temperature estimation is assumed as starting point. A lower surface emissivity and higher surface reflectance of thermal barrier coating (TBC) in near-infrared can cause systematic estimation errors. Methods using the one wave band method, with the purpose to reduce estimation errors for maximum temperatures are also disclosed. Theoretical results, data from numerical simulations, and real data from engine test are provided. A system for performing temperature estimation methods is also disclosed.

摘要： A high performance and reconfigurable surveillance platform for outdoor surveillance is provided. It incorporates multiple high-resolution color cameras that ensure sufficient resolution on a target of interest. Video streams are stitched into a single panoramic video. A pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) camera is accurately registered to the panoramic view. An even higher resolution of a target of interest can be acquired using the PTZ camera using optical zoom. Cameras are synchronized with high accuracy in order to capture registered video streams. The system configuration, including camera type, desired resolution, is defined by an XML file without changing the code. The surveillance system provides multi-threaded applications through specified thread pools.

The visual information comprises a gradient vector flow-based boundary component and a region component that separates the cardiac contours/regions according to their global intensity properties that reflect the different tissue properties. The anatomical constraints couple the propagation of cardiac contours according to their relative distance. The propagation model comprises a weighted integration of a boundary segmentation model, a region model and coupling function.
