    • The present invention provides a method and an apparatus for providing energy to passive tags (4) in a radio-frequency identification system (1). In a radio-frequency identifycation system (1) using the passive tags (4), a reader/writer (2) will send commands and continuous waves (10) alternately during a communication process, and the tags (4) can obtain energy from these signals sent by said reader/writer (2).
