摘要： Protective eyewear (10) of the invention includes at least one lens (20) and a frame (12) securing the lens (20). Temples (24, 26) or a retention strap (110) are provided for attaching the protective eyewear (10) to the head of a user. The frame (12) includes a hollow seal member (38) around the lens (20) with ventilation channels (44) formed in the seal member (38) on its surface (42) for contacting the face of the user. Thus, the hollow seal member (38) forms a substantial enclosure between the lens (20) and the face of the user when the eyewear (10) is worn. The ventilation channels (44) extend into the seal member (38) towards the lens (20) to a depth not reaching the lens (20) and ensure free passage of air from the enclosure to the atmosphere so that moisture condensation on the lens (20) is reduced or eliminated.
