摘要： Monitoring of a wellbore which penetrates a reservoir is carried out by providing tracer material at one or more subterranean locations within or proximate the wellbore, so that tracer may enter the flow and be present in flow from the wellbore; repeatedly taking samples from the flow from the wellbore, and analyzing the samples for the presence of tracer, in the vicinity of the wellsite. Taking samples from the flow will generally be done at the surface and may be done by automatic equipment controlled by a programmed computer. The computer may be programmed to take action, such as operating a valve within the well, in response to detection of tracer. Sampling repeatedly and analyzing on site can provide information in something close to real time and thus integrates the use of tracers into an overall process of monitoring and control.

摘要： A process of making observations of a subterranean reservoir penetrated by a wellbore uses distinguishable sets of tracer particles and comprises steps of: (i) delivering a plurality of sets of tracer particles to respective subterranean locations via the wellbore, the particles in each set comprising a tracer substance which distinguishes that set form the other sets; (ii) causing or allowing the tracer substances to flow out from the tracer particles whilst the particles are at the respective subterranean locations; (iii) causing or allowing production of fluid out of said reservoir via the wellbore; and (iv) detecting the presence or absence of the tracer substances in the produced fluid. The tracer substances are sufficiently distinguishable from each other to enable a tracer substance detected in the produced fluid to identify the set of tracer particles from which it has come and hence identify the location from which it has come. The process may be used in conjunction with hydraulic fracturing, placing sets of particles at different locations within a fracture and/or in different fractures extending from a single wellbore.

摘要： A method for preparing a formation surrounding a wellbore to bear hydrocarbons through a borehole is disclosed. In one step, a bottomhole assembly is inserted into the borehole. The formation is drilled with the bottomhole assembly. The formation may be characterized with logging tools, probes, sensors, seismic system and/or the like to create first information. One or more fractures are placed in the formation without removal of the bottomhole assembly from the wellbore. Further, continuous drilling of the formation is performed with the bottomhole assembly after/during placing the fractures. Further characterizing of the formation with the probes, sensors/systems or the like is performed to produce second information. Another fracture is placed with feedback from the second information. Repeating the drilling, characterizing and placing of fractures as necessary during the formation preparing process.

摘要： The invention provides economically effective methods for hydraulic fracturing a subterranean formation that ensure improvement of the hydraulic fractureconductivity because of forming strong proppant clusters uniformly placed in the fracture throughout its length. One of these methods comprises: a first stage that involves injection into a borehole of fracturing fluid containing thickeners to create a fracture in the formation; and a second stage that involves periodic introduction of proppant into the injected fracturing fluid to supply the proppant into a created fracture, to form proppant clusters within the fracture to prevent fracture closure and channels for flowing formation fluids between the clusters, wherein the second stage or its sub-stages involve additional introduction of either a reinforcing or consolidation material or both, thus increasing the strength of the proppant clusters formed into the fracture fluid.

摘要： This invention relates generally to medical devices, such as stents, for delivering a biologically active material to a desired location within the body of a patient. In particular, the invention relates generally to a medical device for delivering a biologically active material to a surface of a body lumen. More particularly, the invention is directed to a medical device comprising two opposing end sections, each having a surface, and a middle portion. The middle portion comprises a plurality of struts and the two opposing end sections comprises non-structural elements. The end sections of the surface either (1) contain a greater amount of a biologically active material per unit length of the surface or (2) have a greater capacity per unit length to contain such material than the middle section of the surface than the middle section. The struts and the non-structural elements comprise biologically active material to the body tissue of a patient by inserting this medical device into the body of the patient. Still further, the invention is directed to a method of treating a body lumen surface by preventing or treating restenosis or hyperplasia, using the system of the invention. Still further, the invention is directed to a stent having a sidewall which comprises a middle section, a first end section and a second end section. The stent also comprises a band comprising a biologically active material. The band is connected to the first end section and/or second end section of the stent.

摘要： Correcting a temperature measurement of a target sensed at one temperature sensor in an asset tracking device by using another temperature sensor. The asset tracking device includes at least one heat source that affects the temperature sensor for sensing the temperature of the target. The other temperature sensor measures temperature at a location in the asset tracking device. The relationships between an actual temperature of the target and the temperature measured at the two sensors are established through experiments or model. Using the relationships, the measured temperature of the target can be corrected to obtain a corrected temperature of the target.
