摘要： A method and apparatus for establishing communication between a plurality of communication devices and a communication network using a single subscription is provided. The method receives a first request from a second communication device to get a subscription identity and capabilities of subscription for accessing the communication network using subscription of the first communication device. The method then sends the first request to a Universal Subscriber Identity Module (USIM) associated with the first communication device. Thereafter, the method receives a response from the USIM including subscription identity, access protection keys and capabilities of the subscription. Then the method generates unique key for the second communication device based on the response received from the USIM. The method then sends the response along with the generated unique key to the second communication device to establish communication between the second communication device and the communication network using the subscription of first communication device.

摘要： Method for permitting a User Equipment (UE) to conditionally access an Evolved Packet Core (EPC) network, when the UE is requesting the access to the EPC network using a non-3GPP access network. The EPC network retrieves device identity of the UE, verifies the device identity of the UE using an Equipment Identity Register (EIR) and then permits the UE to access the EPC network based on the verification of the device identity of the UE. The device identity is retrieved by using attribute value pairs (AVP) of EAP messages, wherein the AVPs may be vendor specific EAP AVPs. The device identity of the UE may include an IMEI code of the UE as a first device identity, or may include a second device identity, which is based on a type of network access by the UE. The EPC network, upon verifying the device identity of the UE with the EIR, permits the UE to access the EPC network when the UE is verified as an authorized communication device or denies permission to the UE to access the EPC network when the UE is verified as an unauthorized communication device.

摘要： The present invention provides a method and system for securing group communication in a machine-to-machine communication environment. In one embodiment, a non-access stratum attach request message is received from a MTC device associated with a MTC group. The MTC device is then authenticated based on subscription data associated with the MTC device. Accordingly, a unique group key is generated for securing group communication with the MTC device associated with a MTC group in a M2M communication environment. The unique group key information is then securely provided to the MTC device and to an associated enhanced node B. The unique group key information may include a unique group key, an index value associated with the unique group key, selected security algorithm, and key validity period. Based on the unique group key information, broadcast group messages are securely communicated between a MTC server or a network entity and the MTC device.
