摘要： Prior to a change in a configuration, such as a change to the carrier frequency, bandwidth, base station type, and so forth of the base station, the base station can inform a subscriber station to prepare for the reconfiguration by sending a message to the subscriber station. The message informs the subscriber station regarding the change in configuration and a timing regarding the change. The base station can command the subscriber station to handover to the serving base station with the new configuration or the subscriber station can choose to handover to the serving base station with the new configuration. The subscriber station can perform network reentry to the serving base station with the new configuration at the time of or after the new configuration is effective. A communication context between the stations can be maintained and the network reentry can be optimized by omitting one or more operation procedures.

摘要： When a subscriber station (SS) encounters interference caused an interfering base station (BS), the interference can be mitigated regardless of whether the interfering base station is a CSG-Closed BS or whether the SS is connected to a serving BS. If the SS is not connected to a serving BS and cannot access the interfering BS, the SS will signal the interfering BS directly to request the interfering BS to perform IM. If the SS is a legal user, and conditions to initiate IM are met, the interfering BS will perform IM until conditions to terminate IM are met. If the SS is connected to a serving BS, the serving BS will request the interfering BS to perform or terminate interference mitigation (IM) on behalf of the SS if certain conditions are satisfied.

摘要： A subscriber station can efficiently determine an accessible base station by scanning a subset of base stations based on an optimized list received from a serving base station. The subscriber station includes a white list that contains information regarding a number of closed subscriber group (CSG) base stations to which the subscriber station is subscribed. The subscriber station can transmit a request message that includes one or more of: indication of whether the detected identifier of the femto base station is in the whitelist or not; and its location information. In response, the base station can send a message that includes the nearby femtocells and whether the femtocell is accessible or inaccessible to the subscriber station. The femto base station can be designed to be in transmission off mode when none of its subscribers is in its coverage. The serving base station can select a set of the accessible femtocells to the subscriber station, and request the selected femtocells to monitor an uplink signaling of the subscriber station so that the femtocell can be awaken when the femtocell is in transmission off mode or be aware that the subscriber station is in proximity, if the uplink signaling is detected.

The base station can determine if at least a portion of a paging slot overlaps with an available interval (AI) of the second base station in which the second base station transmits. The first base station adjusts an occurrence of the paging slot such that the paging slot overlaps and/or occurs within an unavailable interval (UAI) of the second base station wherein the base station does not transmit or transmits with limited resources. The mobile station also can determine if at least a portion of a listening slot overlaps with the AI and, using the same procedure that the first base station uses to recalculate the paging slot, recalculates the listening slot such that the listening slot overlaps and/or occurs within the UAI of the LDC mode.
