A mobile station transmits a first message requiring fast network re-entry to a base station and performs the fast network re-entry together with the base station when receiving a second message approving the fast network re-entry from the base station. Upon receiving a packet to which a real-time transport protocol (RTP) header, a user datagram protocol (UDP) header, and an Internet protocol (IP) header are added, from an upper layer, a header compression protocol layer transmits the received packet without compressing the headers at initial transmission, and from the next transmission, compresses the headers according to a compression scheme provided in Internet technology. A header compression convergence sublayer classifies the packet according to initial-header information received from the header compression protocol layer, stores mapping information for the packet classification, and performs packet classification on a header-compressed packet using the mapping information.

摘要： A method for registering Broadcast/Multicast Service (BCMCS) in a mobile broadcasting system , a BCMCS server for providing a BCMCS service to an access terminal, and a mobile communication system connected to the BCMCS server. The access terminal exchanges information, necessary for BCMCS setup, with a BCMCS controller during a state wherein a session to the mobile communication system is set up. Upon receiving a BCMCS overhead from an access network, the access terminal transmits a message, including BCMCS identification information for a desired BCMCS service, to the access network.
