摘要： A method of manufacturing a security device component is disclosed, comprising: providing a photosensitive film comprising a diazonium compound which decomposes upon exposure to radiation of a predetermined wavelength; providing a dye coupler film comprising one or more dye coupler compositions; exposing elements of the photosensitive film to radiation of the predetermined wavelength in accordance with a predetermined pattern; and contacting at least part of the exposed photosensitive film against at least part of the dye coupler film so as to effect at least partial transfer of the one or more dye coupler compositions to the exposed photosensitive film, whereupon unexposed elements of the photosensitive film exhibit one or more colours such that the photosensitive film exhibits a reproduction of the predetermined pattern.

摘要： A security device is provided comprising a first pattern of elements (P1) and a second, overlapping, pattern of elements ( P2) spaced by a transparent layer (1), the first and second patterns (P1, P2) in combination obstructing the passage of light transmitted to a viewer through the device to a varying degree depending on the viewing position. The first and second patterns of elements (P1, P2) are configured such that a first region of the device exhibits a maximum change in the degree of obstruction when the device is tilted relative to the viewer about a first tilt axis, and a second region of the device exhibits a maximum change in the degree of obstruction when the device is tilted relative to the viewer about a second tilt axis which is not parallel to the first tilt axis.
