摘要： A method and apparatus for peak to average power ratio reduction, the method precoding the data symbols using an inverse discrete Fourier transform ('IDFT'), choosing, at a transmitter, a set of training sequence symbols from a plurality of sets of training sequence symbols, and creating, at the transmitter, an IDFT precoded burst by adding the IDFT of the data symbols and an IDFT of the chosen set of training sequence symbols. Further, a method and receiver, the method receiving a burst, performing a discrete Fourier transform on the burst, choosing a training sequence among a known plurality of training sequences sets, the chosen training sequence resulting in the least noise estimate among the plurality of training sequence sets, and demodulating the burst with the detected pilot burst.

摘要： Devices and methods are disclosed for real-time calibration of a tunable matching network that matches the dynamic impedance of an antenna in a receiver. Processing logic is operable to solve multiple non-linear equations to determine the reflection coefficient of the antenna. The tunable matching network is repeatedly perturbed and the power received by the antenna is measured after each perturbation at the same node in the matching network. The measured power values are used by an optimizer in converging to a solution that provides the reflection coefficient of the antenna. The reflection coefficient of the antenna may be used to determine the input impedance of the antenna. The elements of the matching circuit may then be adjusted to match the input impedance of the antenna.

In one embodiment, the method for sampling signals comprises receiving, over a wireless channel, a user equipment transmission based on an S- sparse combination of a set of vectors; down converting and discretizing the received transmission to create a discretized signal; correlating the discretized signal with a set of sense waveforms to create a set of samples, wherein a total number of samples in the set is equal to a total number of sense waveforms in the set, wherein the set of sense waveforms does not match the set of vectors, and wherein the total number of sense waveforms in the set of sense waveforms is fewer than a total number of vectors in the set of vectors; and transmitting at least one sample of the set of samples to a remote central processor.

In various aspects of the disclosure, a user equipment device monitors transmissions on a plurality of physical downlink control channels (PDCCHs) and, in response to said transmissions, generates an acknowledge/negative acknowledge (ACK/NACK) signal comprising a plurality of bits, wherein the plurality of bits includes a discontinuous transmission (DTX) indicator bit. In some embodiments, the indicator bit corresponds to an even or odd number of PDCCHs successfully decoded. In other embodiments, the indicator bit corresponds to an odd or even number of component carriers comprising "TRUE" NACKs.
