摘要： A method is provided for forming an active material containing coating on a substrate. The substrate is suitably a wipe, cloth or sponge for household use, or a water-soluble household cleaning unit dose product. The method comprises the steps of : - introducing one or more gaseous or atomised liquid and/or solid coating-forming materials which undergo chemical bond forming reactions within a plasma environment and one or more active materials which substantially do not undergo chemical bond forming reactions within a plasma environment , into an atmospheric or low pressure plasma discharge and/or an excited gas stream resulting therefrom, and ii) exposing the substrate to the resulting mixture of atomised coating-forming and at least one active material which are deposited onto the substrate surface to form a coating.

摘要： Wipes for cleaning oily surfaces comprise an oleophilic material covalently bonded to the surface of the wipe substrate. The wipes retain absorbency, clean oily soil with reduced residues or streaks and retain their properties after washing. A process for coating the wipes employs atmospheric discharge.

摘要： An emanation device comprises an emanation material container (10), an emanation section (20) and emanation material level indication means (30, 32); wherein, the emanation material level indication means (30, 32) comprises control means and weight sensing means adapted to measure a weight or change in weight of emanation material in the emanation material container (10). Preferably, a heated wick-type dispenser comprising a reservoir coupled to a load cell/strain gauge for metering the usage and level of liquid to be dispensed in the reservoir. This information is used by a control unit to control the wick's heater, viz. to switch it off in case the reservoir's level is below a lower threshold. A counting element may sum up the ON-time of the device to calculate and store a life cycle time.
