摘要： Embodiments of methods and apparatuses for distributing configuration data to one or more mobile terminals. An embodiment of one method of the invention includes receiving from the host application a request from a client to transmit a configuration data value to a mobile terminal. The configuration data value can include a designation of a new precedence level for a mobile terminal corresponding to a new operating characteristic of the mobile terminal. The method can include the step of transmitting from the NMC a configuration data value including the new precedence level to the mobile terminal. The mobile terminal can include a mobile application defining a previous precedence level such that the mobile terminal loads the configuration data in response to the new precedence level different from the previous precedence level.

摘要： The present invention includes a system and methods for upgrading software on a mobile terminal. The system includes a network management computer (NMC) adapted to receive a plurality of software upgrades and to transmit one of the plurality of software upgrades to one of a plurality of mobile terminals through a satellite link. The mobile terminal can include an upgradeable component, which in turn includes a detachable device descriptor (DDD) corresponding to operating characteristics of the upgradeable component. According to the present invention, the NMC is adapted to transmit the one of a plurality of software upgrades to the mobile terminal in response to the DDD of the upgradeable component. Methods employing similar features and advantages are also disclosed herein.

The network resources are then allocated based on the at least one bit rate. Moreover, all evolved Node Bs (eNBs) in a broadcast/multicast area are informed of the network resource allocation. Additionally, the network resources are allocated for a session based on a first bit rate, wherein the first bit rate is greater than a guaranteed bit rate (GBR), and the network resource allocation is adjusted to a second bit rate based on the occurrence of an event, wherein the second bit rate is equal to GBR.

摘要： Methods, systems and devices for implementing different modes or persona of a wireless communication device that allow the wireless communication device to function as multiple devices corresponding to conditions and circumstances that may be defined by an enterprise. Operating modes or persona may be defined by a set of operating characteristics that may include user permissions, device functionality, capabilities enabled, and user restrictions that may be selected by the enterprise. Automatic switching between modes/persona may be controlled through triggers based on any of location, proximity, time, and context of the wireless communication device. Automatic switching of mode control capabilities may also controlled through such triggers, enabling an enterprise to limit the ability of users to override the automatic mode/persona implemented in response to an enterprise-defined trigger.

摘要： A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. An apparatus, e.g., user equipment (UE), receives a reporting requirement for one or more Multicast-Broadcast Single Frequency Network (MBSFN) physical layer parameters. The UE obtains the one or more MBSFN physical layer parameters including at least one parameter corresponding to a reference signal, and creates a report based on the obtained one or more MBSFN physical layer parameters. The UE may obtain the one or more MBSFN physical layer parameters using user-plane or control-plane based mechanisms. The user-plane mechanism involves the use of a modified version of the reporting mechanism for Quality of Experience (QoE) metrics. The control-plane mechanism involves the use of a modified version of the reporting mechanism for the Minimization of Drive Tests (MDT) metrics.
