摘要： Providing for modified rate-matching of modulated data to convey mobile network system information is described herein. By way of example, a rate-matching state, such as a data offset, can be introduced into a coded data stream that is modulated to resources of a wireless signal. The state can further be correlated to a state of the network system, such as transmit antenna configuration. Terminals receiving the wireless signal can analyze the signal to identify the rate-matching state and obtain the correlated network system state. Components of the terminal can then be configured according to the particular network system state, resulting in improving access point detection, and in some cases improved channel throughput and reliability.

摘要： Systems and methodologies are described that facilitate controlling interference in a heterogeneous wireless communication environment. A Physical Broadcast Channel (PBCH) transmission from an interfering base station can be punctured based upon a puncturing pattern as a function of a cell identifier (ID) and a transmit time. Puncturing can be effectuated by applying power control. Thus, a punctured symbol or subframe can have a reduced transmit power or a transmit power set to zero. Further, the puncturing pattern can be defined on a subframe basis or on a symbol basis.

摘要： Systems and methodologies are described that facilitate precoding signals transmitted over downlink control channels to provide transmit diversity. A dedicated reference signal (DRS) related to a wireless device can additionally be precoded such that the wireless device can determine a precoder or related parameters based at least in part on performing a channel estimate for the precoded DRS signal. The wireless device can utilize the determined precoder or related parameters to decode precoded signals received over downlink control channel resources. Additionally or alternatively, an access point can signal a sequence of precoders to the wireless device. The access point can cycle through the sequence of precoders to precode signals for transmission over downlink control channel resources, and the wireless device can decode the signals based at least in part on similarly cycling through the precoders for received signals.

To ensure updated information based on the cooperation status of the UE is provided to a network, the UE may receive one or more capability request messages from a base station. The UE may determine a group cooperation capability of the UE, based on a current group cooperation status of the UE. The group cooperation status may be based on the UE operating in cooperation with a group of UEs for communicating with the base station. The UE may then transmit, to the base station, one or more messages indicating the group cooperation capability of the UE.

A user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station, a capability report that includes an indication of a maximum number of reference signal resources within a transmission time interval (TTI) for which the UE supports channel state information (CSI) reporting. The maximum number of reference signal resources may be based on a capability for supporting joint CSI reporting for both a downlink and an uplink. The UE may receive, from the base station, a report configuration in response to the capability report. Subsequently, the base station may transmit reference signals to the UE, which the UE may use to determine CSI for both the downlink and the uplink. The UE may then transmit, to the base station, a CSI report including the CSI for both the downlink and the uplink, in accordance with the report configuration.

Generally, the described techniques at a user equipment (UE) provide for indicating multiple beams to a base station for communications with the base station after detecting a beam failure. Using these techniques, the UE may rely on multi-beam operation to recover communications with the base station. The UE may transmit a random-access preamble indicating a first beam for communications with the base station, and the UE may transmit a control element in a data channel indicating a second beam for communications with the base station. In some cases, the messages used to carry the indications of the multiple beams may be based on a type of random-access procedure used to recover communications (e.g., a contention-based random-access (CBRA) procedure, a contention-free random-access (CFRA) procedure, or a two-step random-access procedure).

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive downlink control information indicating precoding information associated with a multi-panel uplink transmission, the precoding information including at least one of a demodulation reference signal port configuration associated with the multi-panel uplink transmission, a multiple-input multiple-output precoding configuration associated with the multi-panel uplink transmission, or a quantity of layers associated with the multi-panel uplink transmission. The UE may precode the multi-panel uplink transmission for transmission via a first antenna panel of the UE and a second antenna panel of the UE based at least in part on the precoding information. The UE may transmit, using the first antenna panel and the second antenna panel, the precoded multi-panel uplink transmission. Numerous other aspects are provided.
