摘要： This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for establishing wireless connections with nonstandalone (NSA) -anchor Long Term Evolution (LTE) cells. In one aspect, a mobile device may perform a first frequency scan for one or more NSA-anchor LTE cells. The mobile device may determine whether a LTE base station is configured as an NSA-anchor LTE cell based on the first frequency scan. The mobile device may, in response to determining that the LTE base station is configured as the NSA-anchor LTE cell, camp on the LTE base station configured as the NSA-anchor LTE cell. Camping, and connecting to the NSA-anchor LTE cell may result in higher data throughput at the mobile device, and may improve overall user experience.

摘要： Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may communicate with a base station according to a first radio access technology (RAT) in a first frequency range. The UE may perform measurements on a set of candidate cells of a second RAT or a second frequency range based on a determination for the UE to operate according to the second RAT or the second frequency range. The UE may perform a mobility procedure to establish a connection with a first cell of the set of candidate cells based on a determination that a first value of a first measurement parameter for the first cell satisfies a first threshold, and further based on a comparison of a different, second value of a second measurement parameter for the first cell to a second threshold.

In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may receive a first connected mode discontinuous reception (CDRX) configuration from a first cell associated with a first radio access technology (RAT), the first CDRX configuration includes a first indication of a first on occasion. The UE may receive a second CDRX configuration from a second cell associated with a second RAT, the second CDRX configuration includes a second indication of a second on occasion. The UE may determine that the first on occasion and the second on occasion are separated by a threshold. The UE may transmit, based at least in part on the determination that the first on occasion and the second on occasion are separated by the threshold, a CDRX reconfiguration request message.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a first signal associated with a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second signal associated with a second RAT. 摘要： A method and apparatus for reducing call drop rate by validating reconfiguration messages based on service data unit (SDU) lifetime are described.A receiving device,such as a user equipment,may determine a receiving delay between receiving a first protocol data unit (PDU) and receiving a last PDU of a reconfiguration message SDU.The receiving delay may be compared with an SDU lifetime.The reconfiguration message SDU may be validated based on the comparison of the receiving delay with the SDU lifetime.A receiving delay that is greater than the SDU lifetime may indicate that the SDU is stale and,therefore,invalid.A receiving delay that is less than the SDU lifetime may indicate that the timing of the SDU is valid and the reconfiguration message SDU is to be processed.An activation time of the reconfiguration message SDU may also be honored or disregarded based on the receiving delay.

摘要： An undesired call drop in a UMTS network can be avoided during a relocation procedure when a UE fails to receive a certain acknowledgment message. When the UE undertakes a concurrent routing area/location area (RA/LA) update procedure corresponding to a circuit-switched (CS) call and a packet-switched (PS) call, a security mode update procedure occurs. For the CS domain, a first security message including ciphering information is transmitted to the UE, and the UE responds. If an ACK message for this response is not received, but the UE receives a second security message including ciphering information for the PS domain, rather than dropping the PS call and transmitting a failure message, the UE treats the second security message as a substitute for the ACK. The UE then processes the second security message normally.

摘要： The present disclosure presents a method and an apparatus reducing call set up failures at a user equipment (UE) during serving radio network subsystem (SRNS) relocation. For example,the apparatus and method may include identifying that a second circuit switched (CS) or packet switched (PS) call is initiated at the UE when a first CS or PS call is in progress at the UE, determining that a SRNS relocation is triggered at a network entity that is in communication with the UE prior to setting up of a radio access bearer (RAB) for the second CS or PS call, and terminating the SRNS relocation and sending a failure message to the network entity in response to the determination. As such, reduced call set up failures at the user equipment (UE) during SRNS relocation may be achieved.
