摘要： Aspects of the disclosure are related to identifying whether an apparatus (e.g., base station, access point, etc.) is transmitting using a CRS based transmission scheme or a UE-RS based transmission scheme. Such detection may be necessary for PDSCH interference cancellation (IC) of a neighboring cell since a UE may not know which transmission scheme is used by the neighboring cell. For instance, the UE may know the transmission scheme of the serving cell, but the UE may not know the transmission scheme of a neighboring non-serving cell. As such, aspects of the disclosure provide for a blind detection algorithm to identify or determine a transmission mode or transmission scheme of a neighboring cell to then apply interference cancellation (IC) to an interfering signal received from the neighboring cell.

摘要： Various aspects are described for an enhanced power headroom report (PHR) for feeding back beamformed sounding reference signal (SRS) power scaling. Beamformed SRS along directions where a user equipment (UE) can best nullify interference/maximize downlink (DL) signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) would be very helpful for DL beamforming. SRS beamforming requires additional support, if rank related decisions are being made at eNB. For example, power normalization factors need to be sent or reported on the uplink (UL) to eNB. This disclosure provides examples of how the PHR on the uplink can be used to do such reporting. There are two types of PHR being proposed, one nominal for the UL-oriented SRS, like LTE-style PHR, and one for the DL-oriented SRS where the UE also reports or indicates the power normalization factors of each SRS port.

摘要： Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques may support determining analog beamforming and digital beamforming for SRS transmissions. A user equipment (UE) may receive a first control message that indicates a channel state information (CSI-RS) resource for determining precoding for a sounding reference signal (SRS) resource set, and the CSI-RS resource may be associated with a first beam configuration. The UE may receive a second control message that indicates a second beam configuration for transmitting an SRS in the SRS resource set. The second beam configuration may be associated with the first configuration. The UE may receive the CSI-RS according to the first beam configuration and transmit one or more SRSs according to the SRS resource set based on the second beam configuration.

Generally, the described techniques provide for activating antenna groups at a user equipment (UE) for communications with a base station. The UE may receive an indication of at least one active antenna group for communications with the base station, and the UE may map one or more layers of an uplink message to the at least one active antenna group. The UE may then transmit the one or more layers of the uplink message using the at least one active antenna group based on the mapping. In some cases, the UE may transmit a capability report to the base station indicating one or more antennas in each antenna group in a set of antenna groups at the UE, and the base station may activate the at least one active antenna group from the set of antenna groups.

A user equipment (UE) may receive downlink control signaling that schedules resources for receiving downlink reference signaling during a time period and for transmitting uplink reference signaling during the time period. The downlink reference signaling may be channel state information reference signals (CSI-RS), while the uplink reference signaling may be sounding reference signals (SRS). The UE may measure, for each of a set of downlink beams associated with the downlink reference signaling, an interference for each of a set of uplink reference signal resources associated with the uplink reference signaling. The UE may transmit a report that indicates an uplink resource restriction associated with one or more of the set of downlink beams based on the measured interference.
