摘要： The present invention is a fluid dispensing device (10) that includes a flexible and compressible outer housing (12) that defines a bladder- receiving region (20). An independently deformable bladder (14), that contains media (16) to be dispensed therein, resides in the bladder- receiving region (20). Compression of the outer housing exoskeleton (12) causes the inner bladder (14) to collapse and urge liquid (16), contained therein, to exit through the nozzle (18) for dispensing. In an alternative embodiment, a pump (110), which is accessible from the outside of the housing (106) by a user, may be installed in fluid communication with the bladder (108) to assist in dispensing media (102) from the bladder (108) for use.

A metered dosing pump 18 is included that controls the flow of toothpaste from the fluid storage region 14 and through a conduit 20 that exits adjacent the bristles 23 of the toothbrush head 22. Each operation of the metered dosing pump 18 dispenses a measured and controlled amount of toothpaste into the bristles 23 of the toothbrush 10. In addition to providing a flow of toothpaste, the rear side of the toothbrush 10 may also include an additional "flavor burst" pack module 52 to deliver an additional flavoring or another material, such as fluoride, to the flow of toothpaste.
