摘要： The invention provides liquid formulations comprising dissolved oxygen (e.g. 10 mg/L up to 100 mg/L dissolved oxygen), and a substance which is capable of forming a gel upon contact with a body surface or body tissues, wherein said gel is capable of releasing a therapeutically effective amount of dissolved oxygen. The substance capable of forming a gel may be thermogelling and may, for example, comprise a blend of poloxamers. The liquid formulations can be applied to body tissues whereupon they form a gel suitable for the treatment of a compromised tissue, for example a wound (acute or chronic), a burn, a skin disorder (e.g. psoriasis, acne, rosacea, or other dermatological condition such as atopic dermatitis), skin sores, or tissue necrosis. The liquid formulations are also suitable for use in the prevention or treatment of a bacterial biofilm on a body surface, e.g. on the skin. The invention further provides delivery devices (e.g. wound dressings or bandages) having incorporated therein such a liquid formulation or a gel formed therefrom.

摘要： The invention provides antimicrobial compositions comprising charged cellulose nanofibrils dispersed in an aqueous solution having a dissolved oxygen content of at least 20 mg/L, preferably from 20 to 100 mg/L. The cellulose nanofibrils may have an increased surface charge due to their carboxylic acid content which contributes to their antimicrobial properties. In particular, the carboxylic acid content may be at least about 1000 μmol/g cellulose, preferably at least about 1400 μmol/g cellulose. The compositions are suitable for use in the treatment of wounds, in particular chronic wounds.

摘要： An aquaculture system (1) for farming aquatic organisms includes an apparatus (2) for supplying oxygenated water into an enclosure (20) in which aquatic organisms are to be farmed. The apparatus (2) includes a water inlet (4) and an oxygen inlet (6) to create a water and oxygen mixture. The apparatus (2) also includes a venturi (17) arranged to dissolve the oxygen into the water passing through the venturi and such that the oxygen and water mixture passing through the venturi (17) is exposed to a substantially null magnetic field. The apparatus is also arranged such that the water and oxygen mixture that is supplied to the venturi (17) contains substantially no colloidal minerals. The apparatus also includes an outlet (18) for the oxygenated water in fluid communication with, and downstream of, the venturi (17) and in fluid communication with the inlet of the enclosure (20).
