    • The invention relates to a method for spatially structuring the light emitting diode of light emitting organic semiconductor components. Said method encompasses the following steps: i) a light emitting organic component is produced which comprises an electron conducting layer made of organic matrix material and n-dopant precursors or n-dopants that are embedded therein in a substantially homogeneous manner and/or a hole conducting layer made of organic matrix material and p-dopant precursors or p-dopants that are embedded therein in a substantially homogeneous fashion; iia) at least one or several subareas of the component are irradiated or thermally excited in order to activate the dopant precursor in the irradiated area; or iib) at least one or several subareas of the component are irradiated or thermally excited in order to deactivate the dopants in the irradiated area. The dopant is a heterocyclic radical or diradical while the dopant precursor is a dimer, oligomer, polymer, dispiro compound, or polycyclic compound, or a leuco base of a heterocyclic radical or diradical. The invention further relates to a light emitting organic component produced according to said method as well as the use thereof.
