    • Channel reservation in time division duplex for devices in systems involving, for example user devices and access points, may be accomplished using channel reservation request messages, such as request-to-send (RTS) messages and channel reservation grant messages, such as clear-to-send (CTS) messages. A method for channel reservation may include preparing a frame including at least one channel reservation request message and at least one channel reservation grant message. The preparing may include multiplexing the at least one channel reservation request message and the at least one channel reservation grant message at least by frequency-division multiplexing. The method may also include transmitting the frame from a first node to a second node, wherein the channel reservation request message and the channel reservation grant message relate to communications between the first node and the second node.

    • First, second and third apparatuses, methods and computer programs are provided. The first apparatus (10) controls a transmitter to transmit, to the third apparatus (30), service information relating to at least one service. The first apparatus (10) also controls the transmitter to transmit, to the third apparatus (30), at least one access control parameter that defines how to control access to the service information. The second apparatus (20) controls a transmitter to transmit a request, to the third apparatus (30) via data link layer signaling, requesting access to service information. The request comprises at least one access request parameter. The third apparatus (30) determines, from at least one access control parameter provided by the first apparatus (10), how to control access to service information provided by the first apparatus (10). The third apparatus (30) decides, in response to reception of the request from the second apparatus (20), whether to enable the second apparatus (20) to access service information provided by the first apparatus (10). The decision is dependent upon the at least one access control parameter. In response to deciding to enable the second apparatus (20) to access service information provided by the first apparatus (10), the third apparatus (30)controls a transmitter to transmit, via data link layer signaling, that service information to the second apparatus (20).

    • According to an example embodiment, a method may include receiving, by a broker station in a wireless network, a broker activation request message from a plurality of client stations, the broker activation request messages indicating whether the client stations supports a plurality of wireless networking protocols. The method may also include compiling wireless networking capabilities for the client stations based on the received broker activation request messages. The method may also include sending a networking capability message to at least one of the client stations, the network capability message indicating identifiers of client stations from the plurality of client stations which are capable of communicating with the at least one client station via at least one of the wireless network protocols indicated by the broker activation request message, the capability response message being based on the compiled wireless networking capabilities and the received capability request message.
