摘要： In one non-limiting, exemplary embodiment, a method includes: estimating an activity factor for a priority class based at least in part on a provided bit rate for the priority class and a guaranteed bit rate of the priority class (401 ); and using the estimated activity factor to estimate at least one network-related parameter (402). In another non-limiting, exemplary embodiment, a method includes: obtaining a measurement for a priority class (501); and estimating an activity factor for the priority class based at least in part on the measurement and a quality of service attribute of the priority class (502). As a non- limiting example, exemplary embodiments of this invention employ a framework providing an estimation of effective activity factor per service priority indicator (SPI) class to provide, for example, enhanced quality of service awareness in radio resource management functionality, such as for estimation of the amount of power used per SPI class/group.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method, network device and computer program product for controlling resources for scheduled and non-scheduled transmissions in a communication network, wherein at least one threshold for a combined throughput of the scheduled and non-scheduled transmissions is determined, and at least two throughput areas are determined based on the at least one threshold. For each of the at least two throughput areas (210, 220, 230), dedicated transmission priority orders for traffic types of the scheduled and non-scheduled transmission are allocated, and resource allocation for the scheduled and non-scheduled transmissions is controlled based on the dedicated transmission priority orders. Thereby, resources can be clearly split with priorities for optimal utilization. Operators can control how much resources should be allocated for non-scheduled and scheduled transmissions and traffic is protected according to the resource shares.
