摘要： The present invention relates to a method and system for providing a service in a communication network. A service script is used to control a service execution functional unit to execute the service, wherein an execution priority is allocated to the service script based on the kind of service. Furthermore, a service logic of the service may be provided at a service execution functional unit, and the service script may comprise a service description of the service. The service execution functional unit is then controlled based on the service description to execute the service by using the service logic. Thus, the service script does not contain the service logic, and a flexible service script concept can be provided. Moreover, the signaling traffic can be reduced since the operator does not have to update service scripts for a large amount of subscribers.

摘要： The invention relates to a service control device and method for controlling service execution in a communication network. A service script for a user is loaded in response to the receipt of an incoming message, and it is checked based on a comparison of the loaded service script and the incomming message whether a service is to be triggered. If a service triggering has been determined, a service is activated in an external service execution enviromnent. Due to the fact that the service execution is not performed in the service control point but in an external service execution environment, the service logic does not have to be provided at the service control point. It provides a flexible way to define, execute, and control user-specific, operator, and third party services combining various service capabilities.

摘要： A “loose ACK”method by which a radio access network of a cellular network monitors wireless transmission of packets according to a layered protocol including a radio layer (near the physical layer) and an upper layer, the method including: a step (23) of slow release, in what is called normal buffer management, in which the upper layer removes from a buffer maintained by the upper layer the oldest packet in the buffer when the buffer is full and a new packet arrives, and does so independently of whether the packet being removed has been acknowledged by the radio layer of the terminal, and a step (24) of local acknowledgement in which the radio layer sends an acknowledgement to the upper layer on the occurrence of a predetermined event. The local acknowledgement can trigger either special mode buffer management or release of the buffer to a target (entity or layer).

摘要： A method and apparatus for packet-data header decompression, particularly advantageous for use in connection with broadcast and multicast messages being transported through a radio telecommunication system operable according to the CDMA 2000 standard. When a mobile subscriber desires broadcast content from a content server, the mobile station sets up a PPP session for submitting the request and negotiating security protocols. When a subscription is granted, the mobile station receives broadcast content that has undergone header compression. In order to synchronize its decompressor, the mobile station receives a full header from a PDSN. The full header is preferably sent out on a periodic basis just for this purpose. The frequency of full-header transmissions by the PDSN is increased from a normal mode to a high full-header frequency (HFHF) mode upon receiving a request for a full header from a mobile station, but returns to normal-mode full-header transition frequency after receiving an ACK message from the requesting mobile indicating successful decompressor synchronization, or upon the expiration of a predetermined HFHF-mode maximum duration.
