    • The present invention relates to a mediating service which mediates and switches, respectively, networked services between a portable electronic device and service providers operating the networked services. In accordance with an aspect of the present invention, a method for mediating networked services by a mediating service provider is provided. A service request message is received from a portable, electronic terminal via a data communication connection to provide at least a tag identification sequence and a subscriber identification. The tag identification sequence is originally obtained from a RFD tag by said portable, electronic terminal. One or more one or more individual services are selected by them means of the tag identification sequence and on the basis of the subscriber identification. The mediating service provider further initiates the establishing of the one or more selected individual services between the portable, electronic terminal and at least one tag service provider which operates the one or more selected individual services.

    • The present invention relates to a reader device for radio frequency identification transponders, which implements enhanced radio frequency identification transponder functionality. In particular, the present invention relates a reader device, which is capable to serve as a radio frequency identification transponder. A reader device for radio frequency identification transponders comprises a reader logic unit (300, 310), a radio/high frequency (RF/HF) interface (150) and an antenna (160). The reader device is adapted to communicate at least with radio frequency identification transponders (700) in a reader operation mode. The reader device comprises additionally a transponder logic unit (200, 210, 510). The transponder logic unit (200, 210, 510) is connected to the reader device (600) and in particular to the radio/high frequency (RF/HF) interface (150) such that the reader device (600) acts as a radio frequency identification transponder (700) in a transponder operation mode. In particular, the transponder logic unit (200, 210, 510) is adapted to communicate with other reader devices for radio frequency identification transponders. The reader device for radio frequency identification transponders can be attached, connected, implemented and/or embedded in electronic device and particularly portable electronic devices, respectively.

    • In general, the present invention purposes a method for automated information based selective data provision by an identification device is provided. Information data associated with a plurality of data records stored in a data storage are scanned in order to obtain filter information relating to the plurality of data records from the informational data. Then at least one data record out of the plurality of data records is selected. The selection of the data records is obtained on the basis of the obtained filter information which are compared with a predefined filter rule for identifying relevant data records which match with the filter rule. The at least one selected data record is subsequently configured at the identification device and the identification device provides at least one configured data record as an identification information to be retrievable wirelessly by an external inquiring entity. Further general aspects of the present invention relate to a method for automated information based selective data maintenance and a method for obtaining a data record applicable for information based selective data provision by an identification device. Additionally, devices, means and systems are defined which enable the performing of the purposed methods.

    • The present invention relates to the field of short-rage communication systems. In particular, the present invention relates to radio frequency identification transponders with fixed physical memory capacity having however a flexible virtual memory capacity allowing for providing amounts of data by the radio frequency identification transponders extending the fixed physical memory capacity. Accordingly, a method and a radio frequency identification transponder for continuos data provision by a radio frequency identification transponder is provided. A stream of data is received via a data interface for the transponder and the received data is stored in a transponder memory. Then the stored data is read out form the transponder memory and supplied to a radio frequency interface for being communicated therewith. Next, the memory, which is currently used for storing data, which has been read out previously, is provided afterwards for storing data being received subsequently via the data interface.
