摘要： A method, terminal device, network element, system and computer program product for controlling discontinuous reception or transmission at a terminal device of a communication network are disclosed. A regular discontinuous reception or transmission cycle of a regular discontinuous reception or transmission scheme is set by using a first control layer, and in addition thereto a shorter temporary discontinuous reception or transmission cycle of an interim discontinuous reception or transmission scheme can be set by using a second control layer. This arrangement provides long discontinuous reception or transmission cycles for power consumption improvements while at the same time ensuring that the network can easily and flexibly shorten these cycles for increased data throughput, if needed.

摘要： Measurement reports are received from a plurality of user equipments UEs. A local database that indicates measurement report status of the plurality of user equipments is dynamically updated based on the received measurement reports, and a request for a next measurement report is restricted to a limited number of the UEs based on the updated measurement report status. In various embodiments, the measurement report status indicates battery status for each of the UEs, the request includes a parameter by which the UEs generate a number and compare against to determine if they should report, and the UEs determine based on the parameter and a metric of their own battery status. Apparatus, method and computer programs are detailed for both the network side and the UE side of an overall system.

摘要： An identifier (e.g., IMSI, IMSI mod 128, C-RNTI, or a nonce) is established between a serving access node s-BS and a user equipment UE. The UE generates and encrypts a transparent container with its security context, which is known to the s-BS. The UE sends the encrypted transparent container, appended with the unencrypted identifier, to a target access node t-BS. For a forward handover FHO, these are sent in a random access procedure along with an identifier for the s-BS. The t-BS reads the s-BS identifier, and forwards to the s-BS the encrypted container with the appended UE identifier. The s-BS matches the received UE identifier with the established one, decrypts the transparent container received from the t-BS with the UE's security context, and based on the matching sends to the t-BS a context for the UE. The UE's security context is kept secure and FHO proceeds only to the UE-selected t- BS.
