摘要： MicroLED arrays offer a small form factor solution for the HMD image sources since they do not need a separate illumination optics. Features of the present disclosure implement a MicroLED display system that incorporate a plurality of monochrome projectors (e.g., three MicroLED projectors) to generate three monochrome images (e.g., red, blue, and green images) that are separately input into a single waveguide of the HMD and combined to form an image that is displayed to the user. By utilizing a single waveguide that includes a plurality of spatially separated input regions (e.g., a region for inputting blue light, a region for inputting red light, a region for inputting green light), the MicroLED display system of the present disclosure may reduce the form factor of the HMD device because of the reduced number of plates that may be required to combine the three monochrome images.

One example provides a lens mount comprising a first housing having a first tiltable joint structure and a first receptacle, and a second housing having a second tiltable joint structure complementary to the first tiltable joint structure and also having a second receptacle, wherein the first receptacle and the second receptacle are configured to accommodate a lens holder when the first housing and the second housing are joined by the first tiltable joint structure and the second tiltable joint structure, and wherein the first housing and the second housing are configured to permit the lens holder to be tiltably adjustable when the lens holder is positioned within the first receptacle and the second receptacle.

摘要： A partially reflective thin film coating is utilized on an optical substrate that is affixed to a waveguide-based optical combiner in a see-through display of a mixed-reality head-mounted display (HMD) device to partially reflect a forward propagating holographic image light back to the user's eye. 摘要： An optical system that deploys micro electro mechanical system (MEMS) scanners to contemporaneously generate CG images and to scan a terrain of a real-world environment (112). An illumination engine (502) emits a first spectral bandwidth and a second spectral bandwidth into an optical assembly (500) along a common optical path (1). The optical assembly then separates the spectral bandwidth by directing the first spectral bandwidth onto an image-generation optical path (2) and the second spectral bandwidth onto a terrain-mapping optical path (7). The optical system deploys the MEMS scanners (214, 218) to generate CG images by directing the first spectral bandwidth within the image-generation optical path and also to irradiate a terrain by directing the second spectral bandwidth within the terrain-mapping optical path. Accordingly, the disclosed system provides substantial reductions in both weight and cost for systems such as, for example, augmented reality and virtual reality systems.
