摘要： The present disclosure provides improved systems for the biological production of aliphatic alcohol compounds. In particular, the present disclosure provides biological systems that show improved resistance to aliphatic alcohol toxicity; in some embodiments, such improved resistance allows for increased levels of aliphatic alcohol production. In one aspect, the present disclosure provides engineered microorganisms that both produce an aliphatic alcohol compound and show resistance to that compound as measured by an ability to grow to predetermined levels in the presence of a given concentration of the compound.

摘要： The present invention comprises a loudspeaker system that includes a loudspeaker and a detachable mount. In one or more embodiments, the loudspeaker and mount include electrical connectors that are engaged when the loudspeaker is attached to the mount. In one or more embodiments, the loudspeaker and mount comprise mating mounting structures that support the loudspeaker on the mount when the mounting structure of the loudspeaker is engaged with the mounting structure of the mount. In one or more embodiments, mating electrical connectors are incorporated in the mounting structures such that engaging the mounting structures simultaneously engages the electrical connectors. In one or more embodiments, the loudspeaker comprises a locking mechanism that positively retains the loudspeaker on the mount. In one or more embodiments, the locking mechanism is hidden behind a flexible grill of the loudspeaker such that pressing on a corresponding location on the grill releases the locking mechanism allowing the loudspeaker to be detached from the mount. In one or more embodiments, the mount is configured to be mountable to a standard US or European electrical wiring box. In one or more embodiments, the mating mounting structures are configured to be engageable with a reduced amount of travel. In one or more embodiments, multiple configurations of the mount are provided that allow the loudspeaker to be mounted with a variety of orientations with respect to the mounting surface.

摘要： A wireless digital audio distribution system includes a transmitter that performs parallel acquisition of audio data from plural audio data channels. The acquired data is stored to a first buffer during intervals defined by a first clock unit. A radio transmitter provides for the packetization of the parallel collected data and the inclusion of a timing marker in a predetermined packet of data transmitted during an interval. A receiver unit delivers audio output data corresponding to one of the audio data channels. The receiver unit includes a radio receiver for receiving packetized data and storing second parallel collected data to said second buffer. A demultiplexer is coupled to the second buffer to select the audio output data corresponding to the selected one of the plural audio data channels, whereby the audio output data is available for the selective reproduction of the chosen audio data channel.

摘要： A multichannel wireless digital audio distribution system provides for the synchronization of the output of audio data by different receiving units set to output audio data for receiver unit assigned channels. The transmitter includes parallel data respectively representing a plurality of audio data channels in each data packet. The data packets are broadcast wirelessly with predetermined packets including a timing marker. Each receiver unit receives the broadcast data packets and selects the parallel data respectively representing the receiver unit assigned audio data channel. 摘要： The present invention comprises a method and apparatus for installing a tile-mounted ceiling speaker that combines the ease of installation of a lay-in speaker system with the visual appearance of a tile-mounted speaker system. In one or more embodiments, the method of the present invention comprises forming an appropriately-sized hole in a ceiling tile, laying an integrated back box and support frame on top of the ceiling tile, connecting wires from an external audio source to terminals provided at the back box, connecting wires provided on the inside of the back box to a loudspeaker cartridge, inserting the loudspeaker cartridge into the hole in the ceiling tile from below, fastening the loudspeaker cartridge to the support frame, and fastening a grille to the loudspeaker cartridge.
