摘要： A method of connection establishment for UE-to-UE relay in a cellular communication system is proposed. A sidelink interface is used for two remote UEs to communicate directly with a relay UE, and in which the relay UE forwards communications between the remote UEsto allow end-to-end communication between the remote UEs. In one embodiment, a first remote UE initiates a single Direct Communication (DC) Request that triggers the establishment of multiple connections between the first remote UE and the relay UE, and between a second remote UE and the relay UE, such that end-to-end relayed transport is available between the first and second remote UE, with hop-by-hop security. The first and second remote UE can make use of the end-to-end relayed transport to authenticate and establish end-to-end secured connection.

摘要： In an exemplary embodiment content of a data message to be sent on a control channel is determined, and a selection is made between ciphering and not ciphering the data message based on the determined content. By example if from the content it is determined that that the data message is a SMS message, ciphering is selected and the control channel is a SACCH; else ciphering is not selected. Such a determination may be made by checking a service access point identifier for a data block comprising the data message. A data message within a data block received on the control channel is determined to be ciphered or not ciphered using only information within the data block, and the received data message is processed according to the determination. In another embodiment the FACCH is selected for sending the message if it is a SMS, and ciphering is selected for all data blocks sent on the FACCH.

摘要： In a system for managing signaling between a network and machine type communication (MTC) devices, an MTC device receives an indication such as a locally detached state indication and, during the validity of the indication, remains locally detached and does not attempt communication with the network except under specified conditions, such as a need by the MTC device to initiate data transfer, or triggering of the MTC device. The MTC device may also receive a local detachment timer and remain attached during the validity of the local detachment timer, with the MTC device becoming locally detached and the indication becoming valid upon expiration of the local detachment timer.

The serving cell may send a one-bit indication that there is a change in a handover command or a system information SI6 message after which the UE mayor may not refrain from reporting new cells until it performs a registration/location area update in the target cell. The serving cell can provide the PLMN of the target cell in a SI6 message or handover command, which the UE may use in place of or in addition to the PLMN/EPLMN of the serving cell when checking whether a private/closed subscriber group cell is allowed.
