摘要： A method for simultaneously communicating with multiple communication devices in a wireless local area network is described. Multiple uplink data units are received that are simultaneously transmitted by multiple second communication devices. The multiple uplink data units include a management data unit and a traffic data unit. An acknowledgment data unit is generated to acknowledge receipt of the multiple data units. The acknowledgment data unit includes (i) an indication that indicates that the acknowledgment data unit is intended for the multiple second communication devices, and (ii) respective acknowledgment information fields for the multiple second communication devices. The respective acknowledgment information fields include a first acknowledgment information field for the management data unit and a second acknowledgment information field for the traffic data unit. The acknowledgment data unit is caused to be transmitted from the first communication device to the multiple second communication devices.

摘要： A first communication device allocates respective portions of a communication channel, that includes at least one primary component channel and one or more non-primary component channels, to a plurality of second communication devices, including a bandwidth-limited second communication device configured to operate with a maximum bandwidth that is less than a full bandwidth of the communication channel. The bandwidth-limited second communication device is operating in a particular component channel, and allocation of a frequency portion to the bandwidth-limited second communication device is restricted to the particular component channel. The first communication device transmits a data unit that includes one or both of: respective data for the second communication devices in the respective frequency portions allocated to the respective second communication devices, and one or more trigger frames to prompt transmission of respective data by the second communication devices in the respective frequency portions allocated to the respective second communication devices.

摘要： A first communication device generates a multi-user (MU) physical layer (PHY) data unit having independent data for multiple second communication devices. The first communication device also generates respective control frames to prompt second communication devices to transmit an orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) PHY data unit to acknowledge that the second communication devices received the MU PHY data unit. The MU PHY data unit and the respective control frames are transmitted to the multiple second communication devices. The first communication device receives the OFDMA PHY data unit from at least some of the second communication devices. The first communication device processes the OFDMA PHY data unit to determine whether the multiple second communication devices received the MU PHY data unit.

The channel access module accesses a channel of an unlicensed frequency band, which includes a plurality of subchannels. The scheduling module generates a schedule for a plurality of high efficiency wireless local area network client stations to transmit data to the access point via the channel of the unlicensed frequency band. The schedule includes information for the plurality of client stations regarding (i) a time slot in which to access the channel without contention to transmit data to the access point via the channel, (ii) a subchannel of the plurality of subchannels to use during the time slot to transmit data to the access point, and (iii) one or more spatial streams to use on the subchannel and during the time slot to transmit data to the access point.

The processing circuit is configured to, in response to the trigger signal, generate a frame with a first preamble structure that is different from a second preamble structure that is used by the second group of apparatuses, and provide the generated frame to the transceiver circuit for transmission.
