摘要： Equipment supplying respirable gas with humidifier comprises a blower which supplies the gas. A casing unit (1) and base are included, with a cover and intermediate side extension. A separate humidifier (2) connects to the side of the unit. Preferred features: The common connection (9) is described in detail and claimed separately. It conveys respirable gas and has a line for pressure measurement. The common connection includes an electrical connector for the humidifier and a tube coupling. The connection is made between complementary sections, moving sides of the units together. Various supports and height relationships are detailed. A suitable water humidifier is claimed separately; it fits together at the common connection (9) as described. Further variants based on the foregoing principles, and parts of the apparatus are claimed.

The invention especially relates to a CPAP appliance comprising self-optimising dual level pressure regulation. According to the invention, the device for supplying a respiratory gas comprises an electronic signal processing device for generating a pressure control signal (p) on the basis of indicative signals (5) relating to the breathing activity and/or the physiological state of a person. Said signal processing device (1) comprises a signal inputting device and an extraction device (2) for generating data field entries (3) according to predefined signal analysis procedures. 摘要： The invention relates to a control device for setting a breathing gas pressure in the field of diagnosis and/or therapy of sleep-related respiratory disorders. According to the invention, a control device of the following type is provided for appointing a breathing gas desired pressure for the diagnosis and/or therapy of sleep-related respiratory disorders. This control device is comprised of a flow signal generator for generating a breathing gas flow signal that is indicative of the breathing gas flow, of a pressure signal generator for generating a breathing gas pressure signal that is indicative of the breathing gas pressure, and of a signal processing device that generates a specification signal based on the breathing gas flow signal. According to the specification signal, a pressure setting signal, which is relevant for adjusting a breathing gas desired pressure, occurs in accordance with a first pressure determination mode or in accordance with a second pressure determination mode that is different from the first pressure determination mode at least with regard to its time response. This advantageously enables the determination of the most favorable breathing gas pressure characteristic for the current physiological state of the patient without subjecting the patient to considerable disturbing influences in connection with the optimization of the breathing gas pressure.
