摘要： A method of manufacturing multiple flat panel lamps includes providing a front and rear substrate and applying a first seal frit with a first melting temperature and a second seal frit with a second melting temperature to a first side of the front substrate, the second melting temperature being higher than the first melting temperature. The method further includes joining the first side of the front substrate to the rear substrate, thereby forming a plurality of lamp units, and heating the front and rear substrates to the first melting temperature. Gases are exhausted from between the front and rear substrates, an inert gas is injected between the front and rear substrates, and mercury is injected between the front and rear substrates. The method further includes heating the front and rear substrates to the second melting temperature.

摘要： Embodiments of the present invention generally relate to a fluorescent flat panel lamp. In one aspect, a flat panel lamp is provided. The flat panel lamp includes a substantially flat glass plate. The flat panel lamp further includes a formed plate attached to the substantially flat glass plate. The glass plates are hermetically sealed and define a channel. The channel is configured to hold gas and mercury. The flat panel lamp further includes an electrode at each end of the channel, wherein a ratio of the active area of the channel to a surface area of the electrode is less than 10.
