    • Provided is a method for reducing signaling and computation overhead which accompany optimum operating channel allocation. To this end, a method for receiving a measurement report according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a step in which an apparatus including a coexistence manager (CM) transmits, to a coexistence enabler (CE), a measurement request message for acquiring a measurement report from at least one device that uses a channel in a TV band; and a step in which the apparatus receives, from the coexistence enabler, a measurement response message containing the result of the measurement. The measurement request message includes a first element, wherein the first element indicates whether a primary detection, a detection of the device that uses the TV band (TVBD), and a channel load measurement is required. The measurement request message further includes a start frequency, an end frequency, a channel list, and/or a measurement time related to the measurement. The measurement report includes the result of the primary detection, the result of the detection of the device that uses the TV band (TVBD), and/or the result of the channel load measurement.

    • The present invention relates to a method and a device for performing a wireless local area network (WLAN) operation by efficiently carrying out signaling between stations when an available channel does not exist within a white space band. That is, when a first station (STA) transmits available channel information for a wireless local area network (WLAN) operation within a white space band, the first station obtains the available channel information by accessing a database (DB) that manages the available channel information within the white space band, and the first station transmits a white space map (WSM) generated according to said available channel information to a second STA, wherein: said WSM includes a channel map field which has a variable length, a length field which indicates the length of said channel map field, and map ID information which indicates a type of said WSM and indicates whether the WSM is updated; and if the available channel information obtained from said DB indicates that no available channel exists within said white space band, said first STA sets a map ID such that said map ID indicates that said WSM is the updated WSM, and said first STA transmits the WSM which is set to enable said length field to indicate that the length of said channel map field is 0.

    • A method of transmitting a White Space Map information in a wireless local area network system (WLAN) is disclosed. A method of transmitting a white space map information from a first station to a second station in a regulatory domain where a licensed device and an unlicensed device are permitted to operate together in a wireless local area network (WLAN) comprises acquiring a first list of available channels at each location of a plurality of locations from a regulatory database; determining a second list of available channels at a white space zone (WSZ) using the first list of available channels at each location of a plurality of locations; and transmitting, to the second station, one of a beacon frame, a probe response frame and a white space map announcement frame comprising a white space map (WSM) element, the WSM element including information of the WSZ and the second list of available channels, wherein the WSZ is a geographical area in which commonavailable channels are set.
