摘要： A method of controlling uplink transmission of a user equipment in a soft handover mode in a wireless communication system comprises communicating with a first network and a second network, at a first transmission mode comprising a first transmission power level and a first data rate. 摘要： A packet data transmitting method and mobile communication system using the same enables transmission of common ACK/NACK information from each sector of a base station (110) to a mobile terminal (120) in softer handover. The method includes receiving at the base station (110) via at least one of the plurality of sectors a data packet from the mobile terminal (120), the data packet being correspondingly received for each of the at least one of the plurality of sectors; combining the correspondingly received data packets, to obtain a signal having a highest signal-to-noise ratio; decoding the value obtained by the combining; determining a transmission status of the data packet according to the decoding; and transmitting to the mobile terminal (120) a common ACK/NACK signal including one of a common ACK signal and a common NACK signal according to the determination made, the common ACK/NACK signal being transmitted from the base station (110) via each of the at least one sector to the mobile terminal (120).

摘要： A method of controlling uplink transmission power to reduce interference in a wireless communication system comprises establishing an uplink communication through an uplink dedicated channel between a user equipment (UE) and a base station (Node-B1 ), wherein the base station is operationally connected to a radio network controller (RNC). The method also comprises receiving a scheduling command from the base station (Node-B1 ) for controlling transmission power of the user equipment (UE), wherein the scheduling command is determined from scheduling information comprising transmission power information received from the radio network controller (RNC), the transmission power information being determined in response to information associated with at least one user equipment (UE) that is in soft handover relationship with another base station (Node-B2). 摘要： Transmitting an acknowledgement/negative acknowledgement (ACK/NACK) signal in association with a packet transmitted on an uplink is disclosed. The method includes the steps of receiving a packet transmitted from a user equipment, decoding the packet, and determining whether the packet has been successfully decoded, transmitting an ACK signal or a NACK signal, based on the decoding result. Different transmission powers are allocated for the ACK signal and the NACK signal. Alternatively, the transmission power for the NACK signal selectively has an OFF level. The present invention optimizes the transmission powers for downlink ACK/NACK signals in accordance with the required reception quality of each of the ACK/NACK signals, and thus, enables the system to operate efficiently.
