摘要： An event detection system (100) comprises: a communication network of interconnected nodes (10) and a central control station (200), each node being capable of communicating to at least one adjacent node and/or to the central control station, each node comprising: at least one microphone (11); a GPS receiver (12, 13) providing information regarding its location and providing time information; a processing circuit (17), capable of processing the microphone signals, the processing circuit being designed to detect the occurrence of predetermined characteristic sound patterns, and if the occurrence of a predetermined characteristic sound pattern is detected, to communicate the detected event to the central station, together with information regarding location of the node and time of detection; wherein the central station is designed to process the information received from the nodes and to determine the location of the audio source and the occurrence time of the event.

摘要： In an optical communication method, an accurate common clock signal (GPS) is provided to a sender (10) and a receiver (20). In the sender, the common clock signal is received, a first clock signal (CLK1) is generated on the basis of said common clock signal, a carrier wave with a predetermined carrier frequency (f) is generated using said clock signal as timing reference, the carrier wave is modulated with a data signal, and the modulated carrier wave is transmitted using a light beam (13). In the receiver, the common clock signal is received, a reference signal having the same frequency (f) as the carrier frequency is generated on the basis of said common clock signal, said optical beam (13) is received, a detection signal is derived from the optical beam, the receiver is tuned to the predetermined carrier frequency (f), and the data signal is derived from the detection signal.

摘要： Methods for exchanging signals via a network with nodes (11-15) improve the performance of the network by letting a destination node (12) s receive the signals originating from a source node (11) via different first and second signal routes, and by processing and correlating these signals in the destination node (12). In dependence of a correlation result, a process for processing a signal in a node (11-15) is adjusted. This process may be situated in the destination node (12), or in the source node (11) or an io intermediate node (13-15), in which case a control signal is to be exchanged. A learning algorithm for the adjusting of the process can be run in the nodes (11-15).. Label switched routing can be introduced, whereby the label signal is sent from the source node (11) to the destination node via a third signal route different from the first and second signal route, to improve the efficiency of the nodes (11-15).

摘要： Proposed is a light module (110) comprising at least two primary light sources (111,112,113) capable of emitting a primary color light. This allows the light module to emit light having intensity (Y) and color coordinates (x,y) through additive color mixing of the constituent primary colors. The light module further comprises an modulator (115) capable of modulating the primary light sources enabling embedment of data in the light emitted. The modulator (115) is arranged to modulate the color coordinates of the light emitted for embedding the data. This is especially advantageous as the sensitivity of the human eye to changes in color is lower than to changes in intensity. The invention thus advantageously allows embedding the data into the light emitted from the light modules (110) of an illumination system (100) without reducing the performance of its primary function as an aid to human vision.
