    • There is provided an alignment device (100) for aligning an external component (300) with a lighting module (200) comprising a light emitting surface, with respect to which the aligning of the external component is done, and a contact area (230) for engaging with the external component. The contact area is concentric with respect to the light emitting surface, and is arranged on an upper surface of the lighting module. The alignment device is arranged in a designated area being one of the contact area, the contact area together with a predefined area being an area between the contact area and the light emitting surface, and the predefined area. The alignment device comprises a central opening having a minimum diameter corresponding to a predetermined maximum diameter d LES of the light emitting surface of the lighting module. The alignment device further comprises a positioning means (101) for positioning the external component at a predetermined location with respect to the light emitting surface and the contact area.
