摘要： An optical apparatus includes a first membrane, a second membrane and at least one electromagnetically displaceable component. The first membrane includes an optically active area. The first membrane and the second membrane are coupled by a filler material disposed in a reservoir. At least one electromagnetically displaceable component is coupled to the filler material via the second membrane, such that a displacement of the at least one electromagnetically displaceable component is operative to cause a deformation of the optically active area of the first membrane by movement of the filler material.

摘要： An armature for a receiver comprising a first and a second leg portion each having a thickness and a width and connected to each other, and a connection portion in communication with the first and second leg portions. The connection portion has a width greater than the width of the first and second leg portions individually. The connection portion reduces the stiffness of the armature and minimizes magnetic reluctance of the connection between the first and second leg portions. According to one aspect of the invention, the first and second leg portions are integrally formed with the connection portion and the connection portion includes at least a portion having a thickness less than the thickness of the first and second leg portions individually to reduce the stiffness of the armature. According to another aspect of the invention, the first and second leg portions are separately formed and attached to the connection portion in a way that reduces the stiffness of the armature.

摘要： A thermostat is provided for controlling an HVAC system. The thermostat includes wiring terminals adapted to make an electrical connection with an HVAC system wires such as common, heating and cooling control and return wires. The making of the connection with a common wire actuates switching open a loop of an electrical circuit used for power harvesting. According to some embodiments, the wiring terminal includes actuation of a moveable part of the terminal so as to accommodate the common wire that in turn actuates the switching open the power harvesting loop. More than one other loop can be switched. According to some embodiments, the wiring terminal can be used to automatically connect and/or disconnect Rc and Rh circuits when one or both Rc and Rh wires are present. According to some embodiments, the wiring terminal can be used for electronically sensing the presence of the HVAC system wire.

摘要： A method and system for applying a liner to an underground utility structure is provided. First a layer of epoxy is applied to the interior surface of the host pipe using a machine such as a spincast machine. A dry liner is inverted into the pipe directly behind the coating application at a limited speed and pressure. A drag is set on the inversion equipment relative to the speed of the epoxy spinner unit to control inversion speed. Once the liner is completely inverted the internal pressure of the liner is raised and infused into the uncured epoxy.

摘要： The present invention provides an improved method for repairing in-ground tunnel structures (6). The method involves applying a first curable resin over a cementitious liner (18) which lines the interior wall surfaces (14) of the tunnel (6), drilling drainage holes (30) in the cementitious liner (18), and filling the drainage holes (30) with a second curable resin. The resins are allowed to cure and harden. The cured resins seal the wall surfaces (20) and drainage holes (30) to provide a composite tunnel structure (6) having high mechanical strength and resistance to fluid leaks.
