In some embodiments, a fuzzy rule may be determined to discriminate a speech segment from a non-speech segment. An antecedent of the fuzzy rule may include an input variable and an input variable membership. A consequent of the fuzzy rule may include an output variable and an output variable membership. An instance of the input variable may be extracted from a segment. An input variable membership function associated with the input variable membership and an output variable membership function associated with the output variable membership may be trained. The instance of the input variable, the input variable membership function, the output variable, and the output variable membership function may be operated, to determine whether the segment is the speech segment or the non-speech segment.

摘要： A shaving aid delivery system (60) for a shaving system includes a razor head (12,12’) having a reservoir (62) for holding a shaving aid and a heating apparatus (65) disposed adjacent the reservoir. The delivery system also includes a shaving strip (64) disposed within the razor head, an actuator (130) and an ejection port (68). The shaving strip (64) is oriented to engage the skin of a user during a shaving stroke and the actuator (130) electrically couples to the heating aparatus to cause volumetric expansion of the shaving aid when activated. The ejection port (68) directs the shaving aid from the reservoir onto the shaving strip (64) upon activation of the actuator (130).

摘要： A shaving aid delivery system (60,160) for a shaving system includes a razor head (12,12’,12”) having a resilient reservoir (62,162)for holding a shaving aid (300) and a piezoelectric ceramic (65) disposed adjacent the resilient reservoir. The delivery system also includes a shaving strip (64) disposed within the razor head, an actuator (130) and an ejection port (68). The shaving strip is oriented to engage the skin of a user during a shaving stroke and the actuator electrically couples to the piezoelectric ceramic such that, upon activation, the actuator causes deformation of the piezoelectric ceramic which, in turn, deforms the resilient reservoir and forces the shaving aid from the reservoir through the ejection port. Alternatively, the actuator may include a shape memory alloy (165) which, upon transformation between states, deforms the reservoir and forces the shaving aid from the reservoir through the ejection port.

摘要： Sensors and systems for electrical, electrochemical, or topographical analysis, as well as methods of fabricating these sensors are provided. The sensors include a cantilever and one or more probes, each of which has an electrode at its tip. The tips of the probes are sharp, with a radius of curvature of less than about 50 nm. In addition, the probes have a high aspect ratio of more than about 19:1. The sensors are suitable for both Atomic Force Microscopy and Scanning Electrochemical Microscopy.
