摘要： The present invention provides formulations and methods for isolating food-borne pathogens from a great variety of food matrices. Methods for isolating microorganisms from clinical and environmental specimens are also disclosed. The invention also concerns methods for rapid and efficient isolation of sufficiently pure DNA from small amounts of various pathogenic microorganisms, which then can be used, according to the methods of the instant invention, for selective identification of a live pathogenic microorganism present in a sample from which the microorganism was isolated. The methods of the instant invention are also useful for identification of new pathogenic microorganisms, diagnostics of food-bome illnesses, treatment of food-borne diseases and quality control of food items offered for sale to consumers.

摘要： There is provided a phosphor blend for an LED light source comprising from about 25 to about 35 weight percent of a cerium-activated yttrium aluminum garnet phosphor, from about 5 to about 10 weight percent of a europium-activated strontium calcium silicon nitride phosphor, and from about 50 to about 75 weight percent of a europium-activated calcium magnesium chlorosilicate phosphor. An LED light source in accordance with this invention has a B:G:R ratio for a 5500 K daylight balanced color film of X:Y:Z when directly exposed through a nominal photographic lens, wherein X, Y and Z each have a value from 0.90 to 1.10.

摘要： A phosphor blend for a compact fluorescent lamp is described wherein the phosphor blend comprises a LaPO 4 :Ce 3+ ,Tb 3+ phosphor, a Y 2 O 3 :Eu 3+ phosphor, a Sr 6 BP 5 O 20 :Eu 2+ phosphor, a Mg 4 GeO 5.5 F:Mn 4+ phosphor, and optionally a BaMgAl 11 O 17 : Eu 2+ phosphor, wherein the blend contains from 5% to 20% by weight of the Sr 6 BP 5 O 20 :Eu 2+ phosphor and from 5% to 30% by weight of the Mg 4 GeO 5.5 F:Mn 4+ phosphor. A compact fluorescent lamp having a phosphor coating containing the phosphor blend produces a light that is perceived as more pleasing than the light produced by standard compact fluorescent lamps.
