    • The present invention relates to a nanocomposite in which metal oxide film or metal hydroxide film is formed on carbon nanotubes, a preparation method thereof, and an electrochemical capacitor comprising the same. In the present invention, hydrolysis reaction of urea in a precursor solution causes a local chemical change, so that a film is foamed by heterogeneous nucleation and growth. Therefore, the present invention makes it possible to coat carbon nanotubes with a metal oxide film or metal hydroxide film of a nanometer level uniformly. Further, the present invention has an advantage in that the thickness of the film on a nanocomposite can be easily controlled by controlling the content of urea contained in a urea/carbon nanotube composite that is a precursor. The nanocomposite of the present invention can be effectively used as an electrode active material for electrochemical capacitors such as a pseudo capacitor and an electrochemical double layer capacitor, lithium secondary batteries, and polymer batteries, since its size is nanometer scale, and thus it has high electrical conductivity and specific surface area.
