The front (14) and rear (15) walls of the drum (7) are substantially flange-shaped, each have at least one hole (14a) for passage of drying air and are fixed to a respective end edge of the peripheral wall (13). According to the invention, at least one between the front wall (14) and the rear wall (15) of the drum (7) has a main body made of plastic material, that is fixed at a respective end edge of the peripheral wall (13).
